How to become an Associate

There are groups attached to several of our Communities throughout the UK and Ireland.

If you know any of our Sisters they will be able to put you in touch with a group.

Or write to:

Sr. Genevieve, Sisters of St. Joseph, 2 Park View, Devizes, Wilts SN10 1PJ

ASSOCIATES OF THE SISTERS OF ST JOSEPH ARE:

Committed Christians,  women or men, from all walks of life

bullet

who share a deep desire for spiritual growth mirrored in the Spirituality of the Sisters of St Joseph

bullet

who wish to be associated with the Sisters in their prayer and work

bullet

who desire to respond to the poverty of our times – both spiritual and material.

The word “associate” comes from the Latin ad socius which means literally one who is companion to or allied with.

Associates of the Sisters go back to our Founder, Father Jean Pierre Medaille, a Jesuit Missionary who recognised the need for committed people to accompany the Sisters and use their gifts to reach out to people in need – touching their lives with God’s love.

Today, the Association exists to support, reinforce, encourage and stimulate each one’s faith and spiritual journey as Baptised Christians. Sisters and Associates collaborate in the mission of Unity and Reconciliation and mutually support each other’s ministries and spiritual growth.

This collaboration becomes a means of sharing, participating and growing in the knowledge of the CHARISM OF THE SISTERS OF ST JOSEPH.
