Our Story begins in France in 1650, in a
little town called Le Puy in the Massif Central.
Jean-Pierre Médaille,a
French Jesuit priest gathered together the first six Sisters of Saint
Joseph and they began their work with the poor and the orphans of the
town.
|

As time went by the Sisters moved to other
parts of France and eventually in 1833 came to Annecy where our branch of
the tree begins to grow. From
Annecy, the Sisters spread to India, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland
Switzerland, Algeria, Senegal and Gambia
